ACGA 32nd Conference
Early in April more than 550 gift planning professionals from the nonprofit and for profit sectors gathered in St. Louis for the 32nd Conference on Planned Giving: Changing Lives, Transforming Communities. Our speaker lineup was impressive and conference attendees gave kudos for specific sessions and presenters as well as the conference overall for the depth and breadth of knowledge and best practices that were shared.
We thank our principal conference sponsor, Crescendo Integrated Marketing for Planned Gifts, as well as all the other sponsors and exhibitors who made the conference possible and created an atmosphere of learning and collegiality for our participants. Attendees enjoyed having material at their fingertips through an app sponsored by PG Calc, and we know that there was heavy downloading activity from that app as participants sought to access content after the conference had ended. We announced a new educational effort that will offer important information for business officers and gift planners who have responsibility for decision making regarding gift planning programs. ACGA takes seriously its responsibility to suggest sound actuarial rates for charities that issue charitable gift annuities, and to help guide the sustainability of strong gift planning programs through educational offerings. In recognition of his many years of strong leadership in this arena, we have chosen to name this new effort the Frank D. Minton Leadership Academy.
